Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to frequently asked questions about cannabinoids, our products, online orders, and our company!

Legality

Are these products legal?

Yes!

Under the 2018 Federal Farm Bill, all hemp derived products that are less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC by total dry weight of the product are federally legal for sale. Our products all follow Farm Bill compliancy and undergo third party testing to ensure our consumers receive high quality, safely produced cannabis products. Delta 8 and Delta 10 THC are legal in the states of Kentucky and Indiana, where we are located. They, too, are legal as a result of the 2018 Farm Bill.

Are products tested for safety?

Yes! All our products sold at One Love are third party tested to ensure they are produced in a sterile and safe environment. The Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each product is housed on our website for easy access at any time!

Will I fail a drug test from using hemp derived THC products ?

Yes, you can. Everybody processes THC differently, but we do highly recommend using Broad Spectrum CBD products if a drug test is a concern.

Do I need a medical card?

No, you don’t need a medical card! Kentucky and Indiana are hemp only states, although we carry a lot of products that out of state medical patients are very satisfied with! We carry many high potency hemp derived THC products, and although a medical card is not needed, we do require to see an ID before purchase.

Cannabinoids

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are a class of lipophilic molecules, found most commonly in cannabis, that feed our Endocannabinoid system by interacting with our cannabinoid receptors. Different cannabinoids interact differently with our Endocannabinoid system in aiding in restoration and maintaining internal balance.

What is Delta-8 THC?

Delta-8 THC is recently discovered naturally occurring compound in cannabis that is similar to Delta-9 THC. It offers a milder psychoactive experience, often described as a calming and more body-focused feeling. Users may experience a relaxed, head-in-the-clouds, and zen effect.

Delta-8 THC is generally considered to be about 1/2 as strong as Delta-9 THC. If you’re seeking a cannabis compound that can deliver enjoyable effects with a potentially gentler experience, Delta-8 THC might be a fantastic option for you to explore.

What is Delta-9 THC?

Delta-9 THC is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis, known for its potent intoxicating effects. It can produce a range of experiences, including relaxation, euphoria, heightened sensory perception, and appetite regulation.

This is the “original THC”, that is commonly associated with cannabis. This cannabinoid is still regulated in many states, but can be present in amounts that do not exceed the federal limit of .3% of total weight.

What is Delta-10 THC?

Delta-10 THC is a newly discovered cannabinoid that is structurally similar to Delta-8 THC. This cannabinoid is energetic, clarifying, & motivating. This cannabinoid is a perfect focused & uplifting companion for studying, cleaning, or working out.

Delta-10 THC is generally considered to have a more stimulating and energizing effect compared to Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC. Also, it is a unique cannabinoid that has a potent cerebral effect, with very little to no body effect.

What is CBD?

CBD is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid known for its various potential therapeutic effects. It is commonly used for its reported calming and relaxing properties, potentially aiding in stress reduction, promoting better sleep, and providing relief from pain and inflammation.

What is CBG?

CBG is another non-intoxicating cannabinoid often referred to as the “mother cannabinoid” because it is a precursor to all other cannabinoids. Studies suggest that CBG has potent anti-inflammatory and neuro-protective effects, which makes CBG a popular choice for mood balance, enhanced cognition, & inflammatory condition relief.

What is CBN?

CBN is another non-intoxicating cannabinoid that is known for its potential sedative and relaxing effects. Some users report that CBN can help promote sleep and aid in managing insomnia. For some, it may not cause sleepiness but can support a balance circadian rhythm overall.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are naturally-occuring fragrant compounds found in various plants, including fruits, flowers, and even some insects. They are responsible for the aromas and flavors that we often associate with different plants and fruits. These compounds are not just about making things smell good; they also play a crucial role in nature. Terpenes can also have a positive impact on us humans. Many people use them in essential oils and aromatherapy to relax, uplift their mood, or promote better sleep.

Terpenes have potential health benefits. Some terpenes are believed to have anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, while others may help reduce stress or improve focus.

Live Rosin & Live Resin

What is the difference between Live Rosin and Live Resin?

Live Rosin and Resin uses specifically fresh-frozen plants to preserve the quality of plant compounds and provide the most desirable product. The difference is in the extraction. Rosin is a solventless extraction of one or more cannabinoids using heat and pressure to extract a hot oil from the plants, whereas the extraction process of Live Resin uses solvents, such as ethanol or carbon dioxide (CO2).

What does One Love carry?

Today’s market uses primarily Live Rosin or Live Resin extracted terpenes to enhance their products that utilize cannabinoids extracted from another process besides Live Resin or Live Rosin.  The highest quality products of either extract all cannabinoids from fresh-frozen plants and are a more expensive, harder to find option.

Live Resin and Live Rosin products that we sell at One Love only extract terpenes using live resin, not the entire range of cannabinoids in their product. These products have a greater stain and flavor effect from these terpenes which elevate the overall effects of the product, while still inexpensive!

Dosing

How much do I take?

Everyone is different, but we always recommend a low and slow approach.

For Hemp Derived THC gummies you should start with 1/4 and allow 2-3 hours to pass before taking anymore. Once you experiment a few times it becomes easier to figure out how many milligrams is right for you!

CBD also depends on the individual, but we do recommend referring to our CBD Dosing Suggestions.

What do I do if I took too much?

If you ever find yourself too intoxicated, CBD is your friend! CBD quells the negative side effects associated with too much THC and brings the high down. CBD oil, flower and vape is particularly helpful because it is fast acting. We also recommend drinking lots of water. Remember you can’t overdose on THC! You may just be uncomfortable for a little while.
